Maritza graduated with a Master of Science (M.S.) in Counseling, from Southern Methodist University, in 2016 and a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, Forensic Psychology, from Capella University (2024). In 2022/23, she became a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina and a registered out-of-state mental health provider (LPC) in Florida. She completed the State of Texas requirements to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in 2016, and assumed the ownership of Concierge Counseling Service, Inc., an established, private practice founded in 2009. It has since transitioned to Concierge eCare LLC dba Concierge Counseling Services.

Maritza has written for various publications and in 2019, she led a team in the design of a pilot, counseling curriculum for distance-learners. She has served as a community liaison in Euless, Texas; she is a member of the Center for Apostolic Counselors and serves as the South-Cental Texas Regional Liaison for CAC counselors. Concierge Counseling Services is a member of the Apostolic Chamber of Commerce. Maritza has been a member of the Pi Lambda Theta National Honor Society since 2018; and her consistently high GPAs have been recognized on Dean’s and President’s Lists. Maritza has also completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and she is a certified SYMBIS (Save Your Marriage Before It Starts) facilitator.

Maritza has a passion for working with trauma victims, suicidal prevention, and a range of mental health issues involving pre-teen to adult clients. Her past experience, training, and commitment will continue to guide all future professional endeavors. She also enjoys studying and teaching biblical doctrines.
